Berlin 2020

The VAAY Flagship Store in Berlin is the second retail interior for the brand. Once again, the design is all about creating a framework for the brand experience using a few, well-placed elements. VAAY sells health and lifestyle products based on CBD, which is a legal, active ingredient of the hemp plant. The 27 square-metre shop is situated on the ground floor of a historical building near Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin-Mitte. The new, all-white interior design consciously takes a backseat as a restrained, functional background to the cool and colourful product packaging. There are two key elements to the design: one is the slatted wall covering in white-stained pine with integrated shelving made from folded, powder-coated sheet steel. The second is two, all white, custom-made, free-standing furniture pieces: a shop counter and a plant trough. A bright, neon red sofa provides a strong colour contrast.
