A clear design language that lets spaces breathe: this is what Batek Architekten stands for, in Berlin, Germany and worldwide. Self-employed as an architect since 1999, Patrick Batek relocated with his team to a new atelier in Berlin in 2017.
We see ourselves first and foremost as a service provider — our aim is not to impose a signature style, but to bring together our clients’ individual requirements, the character of the location, and a coherent conceptual framework. Our clients include Michelin-starred chef Tim Raue, fashion group Zalando, Red Bull and the Yorck cinema group, alongside numerous private clients.
Specialising in the renovation and conversion of restaurants, bars, hotels, medical practices, offices and private residences — often in historic locations and buildings with a rich history — respect for the character of a space is our fundamental principle.
With great passion for authentic, high-quality materials and the utmost attention to detail, we develop an individual, rigorously considered spatial concept for every project — guided not by a recognisable Batek design, but by what makes each space, and the people who use it, genuinely happy.
