PROPHYLAXIS PRACTICE T7.2

Berlin 2024

The prophylaxis practice in the heart of Westberlin is an expansion of the dental practice T7, designed by BATEK ARCHITEKTEN in the same building. As with the original practice, the concept follows the client’s briefing and creates an interior that resembles an art gallery. The bright, minimalist spaces not only serve as a functional environment for the daily medical activities, but also provide a stage for the carefully selected pieces of art, that lend the practice a personal touch. A similar accent to the completely yellow reception area in the previous design is created here by a room-height cube clad in green acrylic glass. This cube forms the heart of the practice, around which the various functional spaces are arranged. Special attention is given to the partition made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic, which separates the reception from the waiting area, as well as the reception desk made of foamed aluminum. In keeping with the design, these elements stand in the room like artworks. The doors to the treatment rooms are made of walnut wood and cathedral glass, which compensates for the otherwise rather cool, reduced materials. To break free from the self-contained and harmonious design, the floor, ceiling, walls and fixtures of the sanitary area were completely immersed in pink. The color shines through the open vestibule into the hallway and sets a further accent.
